SpaceX, the American space exploration technology company, launched a new batch of Starlink satellites on Sunday in two consecutive launches less than four hours apart.
In a statement, the company explained that a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, carrying 29 satellites into low Earth orbit. These two launches marked the 145th and 146th Falcon 9 launches this year.
More than 100 launches this year have been dedicated to bolstering the Starlink satellite constellation, which is the largest operational satellite constellation in history, currently boasting over 8,900 active satellites in orbit.
