The United States is officially enters into a paralysis of the budget

The United States entered at dawn on Wednesday, a state of paralysis in the budget after Congress failed to approve a partial extension of it, in a procedure that will result in the suspension of work in many ministries and federal agencies and will put its employees on forced leave.

This government closure began, the first in about seven years when the country witnessed the longest closure period in its history and lasted for 35 days, after the Republicans failed to extend government funding for the post -Tuesday, which represents the end of the fiscal year in the United States.

US President Donald Trump accused the Democrats of causing negotiations to stop and threatened to punish the party and its voters during the stoppage period by targeting progressive priorities and forcing them to reduce jobs in the public sector collectively.

"Therefore, we will be a large number of people (...) are democrats, and they will be democrats," Trump told reporters in the oval office.

He added that "a lot of good things can come from closing operations," and suggested using the stopping period "to get rid of many things that we did not want, and will be democratic matters."

After the closure began, Republican Parliament Speaker Mike Johnson X wrote that "the Democrats officially voted in favor of the closure."

"The results of this: mothers and children are now deprived of the nutrition provided by the special supplementary nutrition program for women, infants and children. Old warriors are deprived of health care and suicide prevention programs. The Federal Emergency Management Agency suffers from a deficit in financing during the hurricane season. Soldiers and transport security officers do not receive their wages."

"Donald Trump and the Republicans have now closed the federal government because they do not want to protect health care of the American people (...) the president has become more volatile and turbulent."

"Democrats are still ready to find a consensual path between the two parties to move forward in reopening the government in a way that reduces costs and addresses the republican health care crisis," said the statement, which was published after the final deadline last night.

In turn, Kamala Harris, a former presidential candidate for the Democratic Party, wrote on the X that the Republicans are the ones who control the White House and the congressional councils and added, "It is their closure."

Congress faces final heat to agree to spending plans, and negotiations are often tense, but closing is usually avoided.

Democrats who make up a minority in the congressional councils are seeking to prove that they are able to influence the federal government eight months after the second Trump presidency, which witnessed the dismantling of government agencies.

Trump's threat to reduce more jobs is added to the already widespread concerns among the employees of the federal departments, which were raised by widespread demobilization operations, approved by the "Governmental Efficiency Authority", which was headed by Elon Musk earlier this year.

The draft resolution extending the federal financing ceiling for seven weeks needed a majority of 60 votes to adopt it, but Trump's Republican allies failed to obtain the few necessary votes from the democratic camp and extend government financing.

The House of Representatives earlier approved this text, which the Republicans were hoping for its approval in the Senate to send it to the Trump office and publish it in effect before the start of the new fiscal year, but their hopes were disappointed.

It is still unclear how long will the closure continue.

The United States has entered into a state of federal paralysis 21 times since 1976 when Congress approved the modern budget process.

While some of them lasted a few hours, which is not enough to influence government operations, the longest on December 22, 2018 (35 days) when Democrats and Trump found themselves on a dead end regarding $ 5.7 billion, which the president demanded to build a border wall with Mexico during his first term.

Senators can move quickly if they want to do so by giving up regular procedures that tend to disrupt the legislation.

The Senate in the Congress was scheduled to resume its sessions on Wednesday, but the House of Representatives that continue throughout the week will turn its ratification to any rapid agreement that the Senate could reach.

The Senate will be on Thursday's holiday on the occasion of Jewish forgiveness, with the work to resume on Friday.

The closure will not affect the vital sectors such as postal, army and social care programs such as social security and supply cards.

However, up to 750,000 employees may be placed daily in technical unemployment and their wages will not be paid until the closure is over, according to the budget office in Congress.
