"Open AI" revealed on Tuesday a new mobile application called "Sora" that allows users to create videos using artificial intelligence, a platform that might violate the developed company for "Chat gbt" in the form of a social network.
The application is currently available for a limited number of users in the United States and Canada, and it is based on the latest model to generate artificial intelligence videos, "Sora 2" Khalifa "Sora" which the company launched in February 2024 and its general name was approved for this application.
"Sora" is released less than a week after the launch of "Meta Vipps", a new service available on the "Meta AI" application to share artificial intelligence videos.
Each user for "Sora" creates a personal file similar to those available through other social media platforms, with features similar to the format used on the X or Thrids platforms, including the number of followers, likes and the account name that begins with the @.
In an illustrative video, the engineer in "Open AI", Thomas Dimson, described this preparation as "a familiar interface for those who had previously used social media."
But unlike Tech Talk or YouTube, "will take all the contents on it by artificial intelligence," according to Dimson, who explained that these contents "are not published by boutees (fake automatic calculations), but rather by human beings, but they are fully and fully through artificial intelligence."
In the examples of the demonstration, the engineer in Open AI creates a very realistic video of himself as he plays a match on the main stadium in the US Open Tennis Championship, then casts a press conference after his fake victory.
The general idea of the application lies in the production of artificial intelligence videos and also interacting with the content published by the user’s knowledge.
The application also provides the possibility of inserting a person in a video, with the user's permission, by simply requesting this in the daily language, through an option called "Kamio".
In the era of deep forgery and misleading information online, many are concerned about the spread of artificial intelligence videos.
In this regard, Suhai pointed out that Sura relied on "difficulty producing content" forms on the application, speaking about following the "conservative" approach in overseeing the content.
Open AI has not set a date for the application to allow all users around the world.
