Pre-sale of tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup opens

FIFA announced today, Wednesday, the official opening of the pre-sale period for tickets for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

A statement issued by FIFA explained that this first phase of ticket sales will be conducted through a lottery, currently available on the official website FIFA.com/tickets.

Eligible Visa cardholders, the official payment services partner of FIFA, will have ten days, from September 10 to 19, to register in the lottery to try to purchase tickets for this major football event, which will feature 48 teams and play 104 matches.

According to FIFA, ticket prices for group stage matches start at $60. Winners of the lottery will be notified via email starting September 29, with payment due by October 1, subject to availability.

FIFA has confirmed that registration for the Draw or selection of participants does not require any advance purchase. However, applicants must be at least 18 years old and agree to the Official Draw Terms and Conditions.

For fans seeking a unique experience, hospitality packages including tickets are already available at FIFA.com/hospitality. However, the world football body urges fans to only purchase tickets through official channels, warning that tickets purchased through unofficial sources may be invalid.

Detailed details about the pre-sale process, subsequent sales phases, prices, and audiovisual documentation are available on the FIFA digital platform, including infographics and exclusive interviews.
